Cascina Irma Library of Zanè – Vicenza

With the intervention of conservative restoration the old “Cascina Irma” has been used as a municipal library. This operation began with the consolidation of the foundations by micropiles and in elevation with riveted reinforcements in the canton of the masonry with the intervention of kitchens and scuci. The work continued with the replacement and / or reinforcement of wooden floors and with the rebuilding of the warp roof with lamellar wood trusses and sandblasted tile finishing, while all the floors were made of parquet wood. The reconstruction of the roof was carried out in two phases: in the first one the masonries were secured immediately after the roof was demolished, with the formation of a curb and in the second an overcachment was created, connected through brackets with the function of fixing the head the beams and support the brackets of the case.
